Biggest Shocks of the 2007/08 Season.

1. Havent and Waterlooville reach 4th round of the FA Cup. Therefore going to Anfield where they lost. But not without scaring the reds first.

2. Barnsley knocks both Chelsea and Liverpool out of FA Cup. In all fairness it was an under strength Liverpool side. The same cannot be said for Chelsea.

3. No side in the top four won a domestic cup this season. Portsmouth lifted the FA Cup beating Cardiff City in the final at Wembley. Spurs won the Carling Cup defeating London rivals Chelsea in the final.

4. Chelsea finally beat Liverpool in a champions league Semi Final. With the help of a John Arne Riise own goal in the first leg Chelsea went to Moscow rather than Liverpool. And they lost.

5. Manchester City had a good season. Honestly, who saw that coming?

Well, I guess all that’s left to say is What a good season. Hopefully Rafa will sign new recruits and the Red Army can bring the Prem or Champions League back where they belong. Anfield.

  1. Overall good reveiw but what was the top 5 goals about????

Torres’s 5 yard curler/Petr Cech fumbling babels shot were not even in the top 30.

  2. I’d agree with most of that like, but Masch not in our top 5 players of the season?!?! Madness, he was immense all season. I’d argue that he might even be above Stevie.
