Liverpool bring in £9M for youngsters Ryan Kent and Bobby Duncan

The European transfer deadline day has ended and Liverpool have been busy with outgoings.

Bobby Duncan moved to Italian side Fiorentina earlier in the day for just under £2M and the reds confirmed just on the stroke of midnight that Ryan Kent had agreed a deal to move to Rangers for £7M.

This fee includes a small element based on appearances with £6.5M up front.  Kent's deal also includes a 20% sell on clause.

The Scottish side had baulked at Liverpool's price tag for Kent, who played at Ibrox on loan last year, when they quoted £7M in the summer.

The reds had insisted that he wouldn't be allowed out on loan this season.

But Rangers promising start to their domestic league, coupled with qualification for the Europa League group stages, has seemingly altered their thinking.

Kent made 43 appearances last season in Glasgow, scoring 6 times.

Meanwhile, the well publicised 18 year old Bobby Duncan was handed the exit he (and his agent) had been so desperate for.  He will move to the Italian side with Liverpool collecting a fee just shy of £2M.

Both deals appear to represent good business with both players unlikely to have featured even in Liverpool's 18 man squad .
